Responsibilities: Maximize design wins within the greater Bay Area, across Atmel’s entire product line, with an emphasis on 8 & 32 bit Microcontroller, ASSP and system level products Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for all Atmel product families, with a primary focus on the Microcontroller product line, Proprietary and 3rd Party tools, and intellectual property Make presentations to customers and distributors on core Atmel product offerings Work closely with Rep Sales force on strategic account plans, product positioning and technical support
Mandatory Skills: Experienced Professional with a full understanding of the FAE role and responsibilities Extensive experience working with leading Industry 8/16/32 bit Microcontroller architectures Ability to consult with customers on their specific design and technology needs and co-develop technical proposals that support these requirements with Atmel solutions Self starter with ability to communicate effectively across all organization levels at customers and internally Able to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues and determine appropriate actions
Preferred Skills: ASIC or ASSP experience is a plus
Education: BSEE or BSCS required. MSEE or MSCS preferred
Experience: 8+ years experience in a Field Applications or Field Sales role (preferably with Microcontroller products). Digital design experience (analog a plus)
